Business Terms

Business Terms

These draft terms apply to businesses that list, claim or seek verification on GUST. They require legal review before public launch.

Draft content — this page must be reviewed and approved by a qualified legal advisor before launch.

Accuracy of information

By submitting a listing, a claim or sustainability evidence, the business confirms that the information and evidence provided are accurate, current and not misleading, and that the person submitting is authorised to act for the business.

Verification decisions

  • Verification is an independent assessment by GUST against GUST's published criteria.
  • GUST may request further evidence, or decline, pause or withdraw a status.
  • Statuses are reviewed periodically and may change.
  • Verification is not government, NEMA, statutory or legal environmental certification, and is not a guarantee of environmental performance.

Paid placement

Businesses may pay for clearly labelled Sponsored or Featured placement, premium profile features, advertising or analytics. Payment never affects verification status or organic discovery results.

Community reports and reviews

Users can report inaccurate information and leave reviews. Reports trigger a review by the GUST team rather than automatic changes. Reviews are community opinion and are separate from the GUST sustainability assessment.

Removal

GUST may suspend or remove a listing that breaches these terms, misrepresents its sustainability practices, or no longer operates.
